Prince William County Service Authority - Woodbridge, VA

The Service Authority is a 62.9 MGD water capacity / 43.8 MGD wastewater capacity utility serving 89,000+ customer accounts.  The Operations Division manages 2,300 miles of piping system, 22 elevated water tanks, 15 water booster station, 59 sewer lift stations, 29,000 in-line valves and more than 11,000 hydrants.

Algae Systems is a $20MM high tech start-up company developing energy-positive, carbon-negative wastewater treatment systems and renewable fuels.  As VP - Ops, I was responsible for all field construction and production operations at the Daphne, AL Plant.  Recognized in numerous national and international publications for cutting edge technologies including feature stories in The Guardian (UK), The New York Times & The Huffington Post.  Algae Systems was showcased on Belgian TV in the fall of 2015 as providing a key contribution to science saving the planet.

For 9+ years, I ran one of the greatest utilities company in the country! Daphne Utiliites serves the community with some of the best water, wastewater and natural gas services available anywhere. The tightknit staff works together to enable the company and, more importantly, our customers, to enjoy success every day. The secret to our success was (and is still) that we never settled for "good enough".  Daphne Utilities was the recipient of numerous local, state and national awards including multiple EPA "Awards of Excellence" and recognition in both The Wall Street Journal and Inc. Magazine for our winning workplace strategies.

​Successfully managed multiple projects in the development of the campus including the site development of the University's Technology Park, parking facility upgrades at a satelite campus hospital and renovations to the campus Dining Facility.  Designed and launched the University's first transportation system including site construction of new roads, facilities and infrastructure and implementation of the zoned parking plan.

Successfully completed more than $500MM of major capital construction projects on-time and under-budget by bringing together large and diverse teams of engineers, designers and contractors focused on efficiently solving problems.

Designed and managed construction of multiple structures in support of clients in the chemical and pulp/paper industries.  Designed tooling and testing equipment for the Advanced Solid Rocket Motor (ASRM) Project for the NASA Space Shuttle.
